The title FAITH IS ALL YOU NEED evokes the biblical story of Peter stepping out onto the water toward Jesus (Matthew 14:22–33).
The image captures the very moment Peter translates his trust into action.
This connects with the crown of thorns serving as a handle: do you dare to take the step, even when you are unsure of what will happen?
Faith requires the willingness to act without absolute certainty. Yet, the crown raises a troubling question: can we trust something that might cause us pain? The work offers no answer, but confronts the viewer with the fragile boundary between faith, doubt, courage, and fear.
4. THE PHYSICAL LEVEL — The risk of touch
A bag is meant to be held and carried. But what happens when the handle is a crown of thorns? The hand hesitates. The possibility of pain transforms an everyday gesture into a conscious choice. The crown serves as both handle and warning; it invites touch while simultaneously questioning the consequences.
